Tour Itinerary

We’ve put together a basic idea to help you get started and start planning your unforgettable trip.

It’s a starting point for you and your team to design your experience together.

Day 1: Ushuaia, Embarkation

  • Embarkation between 15:00 and 16:00 hrs in Ushuaia, Argentina
  • Brief technical stop in Puerto Williams to comply with Chilean customs and immigration requirements
  • Proceed along the Beagle Channel

Day 2: Beagle Channel & Garibaldi Glacier

  • Navigate the striking narrow Beagle Channel passage through Tierra del Fuego archipelago
  • Sail along Glacier Alley with spectacular ice formations from snow-dusted Darwin Range
  • Explore family of five glaciers: Holanda, Italia, Francia, Alemania, and Romanche glaciers
  • Visit Garibaldi Fjord surrounded by hanging and tidewater glaciers with nearby waterfalls

Day 3: Day at Sea, Strait of Magellan and Tierra del Fuego

  • Head north along the Strait of Magellan exploring fjord waters branching from Tierra del Fuego
  • Follow remote coast around Francisco Coloane Marine Park (protected whale feeding area)
  • Wildlife spotting opportunities: humpback or sei whales breaching, dolphins, sea lions, seals, penguins, albatrosses, and petrels

Day 4: Bernardo O'Higgins National Park

  • Exploratory Zodiac cruise to Amalia Glacier area or surrounding glaciers along Peel Fjord
  • Experience glacier's icy-blue beauty and cruise among ice floes
  • Sail between snow-capped peaks for closer glacier views and rugged textures
  • Wildlife: dolphins swimming at distance, cormorants, condors flying above, and otters

Day 5: Messier Channel and Caleta Tortel

  • Continue north towards Messier Channel through dramatic 18-meter-wide English Narrows
  • Closer look at Southern Patagonian Ice Field and nearby glaciers (largest outside Antarctica)
  • Afternoon visit to Caleta Tortel village or surrounding areas (permits permitting)
  • Explore stilt houses of Chilotan architecture built along coast with distinctive wooden walkways made of Guaitecas cypress

Day 6: Day at Sea, Gulf of Penas

  • Cross Gulf of Penas sailing north with beautiful mountain range views
  • Educational presentations by expedition team on indigenous inhabitants, Spanish colonizers, and famous explorers (Darwin, Fitz Roy, Alberto de Agostini)
  • Learn about regional biodiversity with presentations on local marine life and flora

Day 7: San Rafael National Park

  • Expedition day in Chonos Archipelago heading towards Moraleda Channel
  • Cruise around San Rafael National Park area (declared biosphere reserve and main entry to Northern Patagonian Ice Field)
  • Explore surrounding fjords, channels, islands, and coves (weather permitting)

Day 8: Puyuhuapi Channel

  • Head north to visit Puerto Aysén and Puyuhuapi area
  • Cruise and explore landscape of fjords, islands, and channels
  • Visit options: Puerto Cisnes, Puyuhuapi, or Magdalena Island
  • Wildlife possibilities: dolphins, whales, cormorants, sea lions, and river otters

Day 9: Puerto Montt, Disembarkation
